Yau Kung Mun is recognised all over the world for its Lion and Dragon Dancing.  Our system has won many awards in competitions, as well as performing for the Queen of England, and at numerous openings of large organisations.

We teach both Northern and Southern Lion Dancing at our school.  Yau Kung Mun is very active in demonstrating and performing for special events, at Buddhist & Taoist Temples and Chinese festivals such as Chinese New Year and August Moon Festivals.

Sifu Garry Hearfield also teaches Dragon Dancing.  We perform the Dragon at Chinese festivals and events such as Dragon Boat Races.

If you would like to organise a Yau Kung Mun Dragon or Lion Dance for your function, please contact Sifu Garry Hearfield or Sifu Ming To here.

More pictures of Dragon & Lion Dancing can be found in the photos section.

Lion Dance

One of the photographs given to our school by Grandmaster Ha Kwok Cheung in Hong Kong.  This photo is of students from the late Grandmaster Ha Hon Hung's school demonstrating the Southern Lion in China.
Notice the length of the Lions tail compared to the shorter tails of today.
